Social Butterflies Social Skills

 Ages 3 - 5 years old

This group is for children in need of basic social skills.  Children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders and general behavioral disorders.  The focus of this group is to help young children with basic social skills, appropriate play skills, and the social skills needed for entering school.  Maximum group size is 4 children. 

  Ages 6 - 8 years old

The focus for this age group is to help children identify their feelings and gain tools to appropriately regulate their emotions.  In addition, to assist the children with understanding appropriate social skills in a group, school and other social settings.

  Ages 9 - 12 years old

This group is specifically designed for children with Asperger's and high functioning autism who face difficult social challenges in school and other social environments.  This group focuses on identifying emotions and gaining the tools necessary to engage in friendships and social situations. 

Monday Evenings 6pm till 7:30pm:  "For Girls Only" Ages 13 and up

Tuesday Evening 6pm till 7:30pm:  "For Boys Only" Ages 13 and up 

Both of these groups are specifically designed for girls and boys with Aspergers and high functioning spectrum disorders who face difficult social challenges in school and other social environments.  This group focuses on identifying emotions (both in themselves and in others), and gaining the tools necessary to engage in friendships and social events.  Max group size is 6 children.     

*These groups also have a Parent Support Group that meets at the same time and location!
